TREES FOR TROOPS
Trees for Troops by the Numbers:
Since 2005, Trees for Troops has provided 103,186 Christmas Trees to military families and troops in the United States and overseas. Each year, thousands of Christmas Tees are donated by American farm families and the public, and FedEx delivers these trees to more than 60 military bases. During the seven years of the program, FedEx and its employees have logged more than 352,011 over-the-road miles and countless air miles and employee hours for the Trees for Troops program.
The program reaches those serving in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard and National Guard.
Christmas Tree farmers and FedEx are donating trees and transportation to say "Thank You" to our troops and to make their holidays a little brighter.
On December 3, 2012, FedEx will ship a minimum of 100 Big John's trees to Naval Air Station, Panama City, FL, hoping to make Christmas a little brighter for a few of our troops and their families.
2012 SEASON UPDATE
This year, Trees for Troops provided 18,694 real Christmas Trees to military families and troops, bringing the total since the inception of the program eight years ago by the Christmas Spirit Foundation to more than 121,000 trees. This year's trees were delivered by FedEx to 65 military bases in the U.S. and Middle East, covering every branch of the armed services.
Thank you to all of our generous donors who have helped to make this program a success year after year.
